The 6th Annual meeting of KASO was conducted at MVR Hospital, Kozhikode on 15th and 16th of February 2020.
The Conference had a pre-conference workshop on 14th where team of surgeons lead by Dr.SankarNarayan (UK) and Dileep Damodarad(MVR Hospital) demonstrated various techniques of oncoplastic breast surgeries.The meeting was inaugurated by DR. NK Warrier, Medical Director MVR Cancer Centre. Dr.Chandramohan K (RCC ,Trivandrum), Dr.Dileep Damodaran (MVR Cancer Centre), and Lt.Col. Dr.Jai Kishan (CEO, MVR-CCRC) spoke on the occasion.Dr.Paul Sebastian delivered the Dr.Iqbal Ahamed Memorial Oration.The meeting had various discussions, lectures and operative video demonstrations were by experts.The external faculty included Dr.CS Moni(Chennai), Dr.Anand Raja(Chennai), Dr.Kathiresan (Chennai). Other senior KASO Members also presented various topics in the meeting.Latest trends in surgery of breast cancer, head and neck cancers, musculoskeletal cancers and gynaec Cancers were discussed in the meeting.
